2026 Summer Picnic at Chinatown Backyard

Chinatown is an urban heat island with limited tree canopy and open green space. Our annual Summer Picnic at the Tufts Community Common offers free multigenerational programming and resources on ways to beat the summer heat. We welcome community members of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy live performances, food, lawn games, and activities while learning about heat resilience through our tabling partners.
