Affordable Real Estate Overview

Since 1987, ACDC has preserved and created over 400 affordable homes for working-class individuals and families, with a focus on low-income housing. To complement our affordable housing work, ACDC provides essential community programs to sustain and cultivate healthy communities.

  • Completed in 2017

  • 51 all-affordable condos

  • 100% of the homeowners are first-time homebuyers

  • Over 30% of the homeowners graduated from our HUD-certified bilingual first-time homebuyer course

6 Fort Street - Quincy

  • Completed in 2012

  • 34 units of family rental residential development

  • The project represents the adaptive re-use of a vacant building in a transit-oriented, Downtown Quincy Center location.

Martensen Village - Quincy

  • Acquired in 2019 to preserve affordability status that was set to expire

  • 12 rental units

  • Invested $800,000+ in needed repairs

One Greenway - Boston

  • Completed in 2015

  • 363 units of new housing

  • Design elements include green space, community space, ground floor retail, and underground parking.

Oak Terrace - Boston

  • Completed in 1995

  • 88 units that is home to over 300 residents

  • Provides spaces for community meetings, local businesses, and health care practitioners

64-68 Beach Street - Boston

  • Acquired in 2022

  • 14 rental units and a ground floor commercial space for a local business

  • ACDC’s first acquisition in Chinatown to preserve existing affordable housing

  • ACDC investing renovations in stages to increase energy efficiency and update heating and cooling systems

Tremont Village - Boston

  • Completed in 2015

  • 20 units of state-owned public housing

  • Asian Community Development Corporation is renovating the property to address life safety and quality of life issues, as well as improve energy efficiency to preserve these affordable housing units for low income residents.

Metropolitan - Boston

  • Completed in 2004

  • 133 rental units

  • Includes community space for residents and public use; street-level retail and commercial space

  • Home to our grassroots non-profit organizations: Asian Community Development Corporation, Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, Chinese Progressive Association, and Boston Asian: Youth Essential Services.
