The Chinatown Banquet is a series of 45 short video documentaries about the neighborhood.  It was created to raise awareness about the history, culture, and conditions of Boston Chinatown, the city's most densely populated residential neighborhood.  Featuring a menu of eight multimedia "courses," the Bnagquet is a compendium of Chinatown's history, unique flavor, political struggles, culture and physical environment.  It is a model of how the visual arts can play an effective role in community development, education, and leadership development.  While helping the create the Banquet, high school students learned to combine media production skills, urban history, art, and community awareness.
