With a history of over 130 years, Boston's Chinatown is one of the oldest residential Chinatowns in the nation. Through the ACDC Chinatown Walking Tour you learn about the origins of the neighborhood, hear stories of community struggle and activism, and discover the continuing legacy of immigrants in the neighborhood.
Tour Guides from the Community
When school is not in session, A-VOYCE youth provide you with the street-level knowledge of Chinatown that goes beyond the restaurants and the Gate. Our guides also include ACDC staff and volunteers who are residents and community members of Chinatown who know the back alleys and the hidden stories.
Proceeds from tours support A-VOYCE, the youth program of ACDC. Tours provide visitors with knowledge about Chinatown that focuses on community issues, and explores themes relating to education, activism, and culture. Through our tours, you get an in-depth glimpse of Chinatown and its transformations over time as well as become connected to our community that is dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of Boston's Chinatown. Here's a glimpse of some of the sights, courtesy of boston.com. One of our tour groups posted a Youtube video of their trip to Boston's Chinatown.
