PERFORMING COMEDIANS:

Joe Wong will be hosting our two Asian Comedy shows. Joe has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and Ellen DeGeneres Show. He is a regular at comedy clubs across the country and has recently performed at the 66th National Radio and TV Correspondents' Association dinner on Cable Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN) at Washington, DC.

Sheng Wang appeared on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham", the AZN Network, American Eagle's Campus Comedy Challenge and Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.  

Ali Wong was selected as "The Best Comedian of 2009" by SF Weekly and the SF Bay Guardian awarded her "Best of the Bay,"

Special guest: Raj Sivaraman appeared in NBC Diversity Competition, Reader's Digest Funniest Person in Nashville Competition, Carnival Cruise Comedy Challenge, Comedy Caravan and Dayton Funnybone.

WHY

The Comedy Night brings together some of the best Asian American comedic talents in the country to raise money to help low- and moderate-income families buy their first homes. Enjoy a memorable night out filled with hilarious Asian comedy, tasty food and that warm tingly feeling that you're helping families pursue their dream of affordable home ownership! We will present two shows to reach an audience of 200 business professionals and other community members. All proceeds will benefit the ACDC Comprehensive Home Owership Program (CHOP) for low income families. Some of these families lack adequate educational opportunities, sufficient income, and face challenges such as linguistic isolation and lack of job access. Your generous and kind participation enables ACDC to provide home ownership education and counseling to over 200 low- and moderate-income families and improve their quality of life.
